Webserver Changes

The DearDiary web server setup has some interesting ‘issues’ to do with the authentication system (ie, when you login) that was causing all the other websites on the server to occasionally die too. It wasn’t a huge problem in that reloading the page would usually sort the problem out, however, its not really good to have other paying customers on the server have their website appear to be not responding occasionally.

So, with that in mind (and until I can get to the root of the DD problem) I have made some tweaks to the webserver so that DD is running in its own space and if it dies it won’t take the rest of the web sites with it. Users shouldn’t notice any difference, but if you get odd things happening please drop me a line by using the HELP button at the top.
