I’m aware that links in people’s notify e-mails are not working properly at the moment, it’s something I shall look into very shortly (as soon as I get some time to!) and apologise for the inconvenience in the meantime.
At this point I’ve no idea what’s causing it or why it would suddenly have started to happen because nothing has changed on the DearDiary code for some time!!

This entry answers some (or all?) of the questions from previous entries about friends. Eliezer: Since the notify list checkbox is now gone from the entry posting screen, what happens now when an entry is posted? I know I answered this one privately already, but I suspect others will be caught out by it too…
The new shiny server turned out to be a pile of poo and I had to revert everything back to the old server. The hardware was not set up correctly and the server technicians answer was ‘we will need to reload your server’… My response was ‘I don’t think so – I have 100 customers…
I’ve now managed to get everything downloaded and updated so that HamiPiks is now back up and working – I’ve tested uploads and thumbnailing but if you come across anything that’s not working please drop me a line! Next is OpenFiction and then a new front screen for HamiMail letting people know what’s going on…

There are on occasions some processes that are locking up for some reason, as mentioned before. The biggest culprit appeared to be the graphics manager which means that uploading private graphics is presently turned off until I can get to fix the script. There are others that are occasionally locking too, and at this time…

Just thought I’d let ya know that theres no probs here with notifies comin’ thru to ME….not today, not yesterday, not EVER.
