There seems to be a particular script on the system that is not behaving properly as every now and then a perl process is eating the whole CPU for breakfast. I’m trying to track down what it is, and will let you know. If anyone sees a particular part of the side that consistently fails…
I’ve made some tweaks to the database, and Matt made some tweaks to how the hits system works now, so that in theory, the system should be able to work a bit better for the people that deserve it, ie you guys reading this! Its a temporary step. The server is overloaded and we’re running…
If you are, we cannot send e-mails to you. SBCGlobal repeatedly add our mail server to their antispam blacklist and as such we cannot get mail through because their server rejects it. I have written to them on a number of occasions and have been removed, only to be added back into the blacklist again…
Those using the Atomic Systems Jabber server may well have noticed the ‘You have been disconnected from AOL’ messages that you’re receiving. Sadly, it doesn’t matter what client you use as it is the server that actually does the connection to AOL. We’re awaiting a fix to the Jabber server to resolve the problem (it’s…
Testing double line spacing issue when using HTML editor Please ignore 🙂 That looks better – now the entry shows up as it should if you're using the HTML editor – how come no-one complained about this?? Is no-one using the HTML editor except me? 🙂 WELL, it DID look better until I used Modify…
I appreciate your work. Thank you 🙂
Test comments now…
yes, i am comforted to know you’re working at it. thanks.
No problem, Steve, a little PHP downtime and sporadic site access is worth it in the short term if it means the site works better in the long term. We appreciate all your hard work!! =)
So all the login issues and stuff is related to that? I’m used to like full on down. Like access to nothing. The partial acces thing is all confusing me.
Oh well. Have fun debugging. 🙂
We will sit on the sidelines, cheering you on admiringly! Hope your work goes quickly and without too many frustrations.
all seems to be working in userland. Many thanks for your hard work! much appreciated.
ahem…just tested…actually, Steve, the internal server error is still present 🙁 it is only appears in old diaries with millions of entries and easily gets rid of by refreshing browser…personally I don’t mind doing it, I’d think many other won’t either. as long as it is a known bug with a known resolve…I wouldn’t worry much 😉
I’m not getting anymore of those, "Skeleton diary doesn’t exist" things anymore. I don’t have the skeleton diary… nor did I really care if it existed. Just wondered why login would be going there. lol
Hope you have fun with your bugs today. 🙂 Someday this will all be automated and all you’ll have to do is sit there and watch it work for you.
