So…Friday morning and crazy things keep happening around…
Firstly on my way to the office I had this weird car in front of me. You know, these traffic, not jam, but just traffic line where you can only move in one lane, car by car with a speed that just about gives you an impression that you are actually moving…
You get bored in such lines very easily…but the guy in front car got bored way above any boredom I’ve ever seen in drivers. First thing he’s done, once lined up in a queue, spoke on the phone (you should know that mobiles while driving are illegal in UK) then he presumably turn on his audio, as he suddenly started to jump and nod his head for no particular reason…he’s got bored very quickly and pull out sandwich…the same time he opened newspaper too...a big one…he spread it all over steering wheel…nice…by the time we’ve got to the end of the street, he performed whole morning ritual sitting in his car…he even brushed his teeth after he finished sandwich and combed his hair!...the man has surely not enough time to do those things in a comfort of his home…and I wonder, if he’s doing the same when he’s happened to be not in a slow moving queue, but on a motorway…hmmmm…
Then I arrived to the office. We did have a good laugh here too today…you want to know what happened? Out entrance door got stuck dead. Right in the middle of a busy morning, when most of the people awaken enough to turn up to the office, the door, separating our systems section from the rest of the world got stuck locked. Dead. Forever. Nothing we could do to persuade it to open, no torturing with screwdrivers or other tools, ranging from suitable to the most exotic, nothing could help…
Which was good in a way, actually…ever since our company’s administration moved next door, we were having constant human flow across our office floor, most often stopping by, as it is a known fact, that when one passes technical support team, one will always have some technical issues, and will always assume that we like nothing better then to sit here and eagerly anticipate people coming to us in person rather then log a call to the help desk…anyway…our door on strike has made us happy for whole morning and let us finally carry on our normal duties without much interruption.
We did however spend about half-hour summoned little “exclusive” meeting to decide what kind of sign to put on the door so that people will know that it is pointless to bother us today…It was a choice between the “PLEASE LIBERATE US!” and “WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER!” signs and the coffee served has been especially nice, as was consumed in a relaxed environment…
So, a day woke up from the funny foot today…Yay!… even better news –
IT’S A FRIDAY!
