Reflected Universes And Mean Household Appliance

The story with fobs continued today. As this was the first day of new system in place, a lot of confusion around the fobs has been the day’s main feature. Apparently, when you “fobbed in”, the system register you and you’ve got to “fob out” on your way out of office. Now the tricky part: if you forgot to do one of those, you unable to do the other. i.e. if you popped out outside for a smoke and didn’t do the fobby-floppy thing, the system thinks you are still in the building, so she doesn’t let you inside anymore. This is such a stupid system, so easy to deceive her…especially when many people arrived at the same time, one of them register his fob and the rest just walked through the door with him when it’s opened. (and this does makes sense, doesn’t it?) now…what would happened when all of those unfobbed people will leave the building, each in his time? If they try to register themselves “out” without being registered “in”, surely the system gets confused and maybe even will consider them on the way to the office, as this would be their first registration of the day…hmmmm…so for them whole world will turn around and instead of going to work, they will be going out! Can you imagine if you’d need to do all the things in opposite direction?!!! That will be such confusion, huh?...well, if you haven’t yet been confused by the theory of the reflected universes, I will tell you a secret: all of the above was just exercise in applied ill logic. None of this did happened today…well, apart from me being locked out at lunch time and unable to get in until someone else walked the same office…but just the thought of what terrifying consequences to the order of the universe a simple fob could’ve cause…makes me shiver…or, maybe it was just a freezing, yet beautiful day…

I also had a quarrel with my video recorder today. I told him to record one program, but he had something different on his mind…I was so looking forward to spend the evening wrapped in the blanket with a cup of coffee and the most favourite movie of all times…and now what? Stupid recorder has spoil the evening for me…we, of course, won’t mention that I’ve never had a chance to set up pre-programmed recording before and that it took about an hour of exhausting negotiations between me and him (video recorder) yesterday to persuade him that I really have to had that movie…and now apparently, it is my household equipment who makes a choice of what I need to watch…duh!

It was strange to realise later that I have no explanation to why I still haven’t got this movie on my video shelf; since this is The Movie, if you know what I mean…It seems that I’ve always watched it on TV and one or two times a year was quite enough to feel satisfied. I’ve read the book, I know most of the lines by heart…yet when my chance to see it today disappeared I suddenly have this urge to see it more then ever! Almost as if I’ve missed the train with my closest friend…when something gets in women’s head, there is truly little chance that she would give up on the idea…so I’ve simply just bought it on line. Hopefully it’ll get delivered on Saturday…and suddenly I’m content again…
