Imagine this vision of a crowd, where everybody talks to nobody and all speak at the same time. What sense would this make? You might manage to pick up disjointed lines from various corners that might even ring a bell to your ears, reminders of something familiar, a phrase, or a word or a voice. Yet you never sure who said them and to whom. The conversation won’t flow just from listening; you’ve got to create a channel. Not just pay attention, but let the others know that your attention pertains to them. So that they could, in their turn, speak not just to everybody, but to you. How often we forget about this simple rule and end up talking to nobody in a crowded room…a vision of communication as a tunnel
