It is not something that goes well together, isn’t it? But it is not my fault that this year’s Halloween for me was like a Valentine’s day. Don’t even attempt to argue that New York could be anything else but certainly nothing romantic about it, for I know different.
See my Guide On How To Spend The Most Romantic Day In New York:
Wake up not too early and with happy smile. Look out of the window to see sun shining as if he’s mistaken last day of October for the first day of May. Have a bagel (this is Absolute Must to start the day in the right mood!) catch a bus and expect wonders not disenchantments.
Take a two-hours river cruise (the day was so beautiful and warm, I couldn’t believe it’s 31st of October!) enjoy the river…the views… fresh air full of new discoveries and light kiss of the breeze, playing with your hair, whispers of the rivers in your ears, calling for adventures…what can more can be said about the marvellous time on the boat?! It was Perfect! Enjoy it fully.
Walk the streets of frenzied city and find refuge in the quiet halls of Public Library. Take a tour of the Kingdom of Knowledge and be amazed by the art exposed in clear silence of volumes displayed. Have a dinner at the Canadian café by the ice rink in the Bryant Park. Order some exotic drinks and enjoy watching the ice-dancers swirling to the music of a fairy tale classic.
(Actually, the music was of all sorts, mainly classical and blues, and there were also one girl…she was truly a Goddess of the Rink! As she danced…you can notice how she lived through the music, sliding smoothly along the perimeter of the rink, doing all those impossible turns and tricks, swirling with such a speed that you can’t catch a glance of her face…a little wonder on the skates…a Winter Tale comes true in October…oh, and the drinks…I’ve learned "the hard way" something new and important to know about drinks in New York – if it has word “Manhattan” in its name, there going to be some explosive ingredient in it. The Manhattan Special cocktail made me choke on the first sip…mind you by the end of a glass I was pretty much OK and even somewhat carelessly happy
and a cute cheery-thing on the bottom made up for the burned throat)
In the end of a day go see The Most Remarkable Musical on Broadway. And fall under the spell of the music of the night.
(did you think that being in new York, I would miss this opportunity to see a musical that not only has a special meaning to me, but also is the most famous of all of Broadway’s plays?! Yes, I’ve seen the Phantom of the Opera and I’ve seen it on Broadway. And I can tell you: it was so much more then I imagined it would be. And I’ve got a poster signed by all the Phantom’s cast
) So see? It was so easy to find romantics in the city of a buzzing business. All you have to do is - make a wish and make it happenned.
