Database backups and Album

To answer some of the comments left previously...

No diaries were lost, it was the BACKUP that was missing a diary. Nothing has happened to the primary database...

If we could afford to pay ourselves anything for running the site, we could consider employing other 'intern DBAs' and indeed, if that were the case, they could work from home in the US... However, by our current estimates thats about 25 years away at current revenue growth :-) Thanks for the offer though - oh, and we don't use Oracle, its too expensive ;-)

Album is working fine, at least from here, please submit a request with more details if something is wrong. A comment 'when is it going to be back?' when we're not aware of anything being wrong in the first place, and therefore have no details of what might be happening, doesn't get very far :-)

    how do i put a photo in my diary?

    tried doing cut and paste but it didn't really work. want to put my 15 year old doggy in.......

    How do you change the font? Where can i get the visitor counter? and yes the pics too....how can i upload? Are these options available only as an upgrade? Or can i use html to paste?

    SilentLegacy, I can answer your first question.

    To change the font, use the html code for fonts:

    <font face="FONT NAME">words blah blah blah</font>

    where FONT NAME (make sure it's in quotes!) is the name of the font you want to use. Remember, the font can only be seen by those who have it on their computer, so don't use unusual fonts cuz most people won't be able to see them!

    If you aren't very familiar with html, I suggest checking out some kind of basic html guide, there are lots online (I can't think of any at the moment but you could just do a search for them, there's TONS).
