Just a quickie (you know what us men are like)... I'm happy that the server is doing ok - the server did actually start going nuts again for a little while even after the optimisation of the database. I watched the logs for hours last night and it looks like the site was getting the hell spammed out of it by someone downloading it via some kind of mirror program, 25 connections from one address in the space of a couple of seconds, all for pages, not graphics.
The site should be able to cope with this so we're going to have to try and optimise things a bit more - but that seems to have been atleast part of the cause of the problem yesterday (optimising certainly helped matters though heehhe).
As a result i've put the Show My Hits link back online.
