A while back, we ran an entry on our take on leaving nasty comments on kids diaries. Shortly after that we received a message from Chris, which follows;

Hi
I just read the last entry in the DD Administration diary. This may or may not be of any use, but I looked up some links to helplines on the web:
Abuse Recovery UK - this site covers more than child abuse. It covers panic attacks, self harm and eating disorders. It is an online community type thing with chatrooms etc.
http://www.aruk.co.uk/
http://www.samaritans.org.uk/ gives the Samaritans' tel and an email addresss ([email protected]).
Perhaps more useful is About.com. This is a link to a page of links to child abuse hotlines in the USA:
http://www.incestabuse.about.com/health/incestabuse/cs/hotlines/index.htm
Here are more general links:
http://www.teenadvice.about.com/teens/teenadvice/cs/helplines/
Its as simple as typing in a few key words into a good search engine, but sometimes it is more helpful to know it is there and staring you in the face.
Chris.
Thanks to Chris for providing those links, hopefully they are helpful to the kids who frequent DearDiary.Net
