Advert removal extra for Premium Users.
Sun May 27 2001

Now, if you are a Premium User, you will no longer see adverts on the other pages as well as your own pages when logged in. However, in order for the system to know you are a subscriber you MUST login and you must have cookies enabled.

Basically what happens is that when you login, we set a cookie to state you are a subscriber and after which you won't see ads.

This was always intended functionality for Premium Users, sorry it took so long.

Steve.

    Yeah, I was just about to say, that "There is 1 new message waiting for you" Ad is getting QUITE annoying, everytime I click the back button after reading an entry...especially when it disappears right away and goes straight to the taskbar...then you forget about it, and by the time you are done, you've got about 50 "New Message" ads on your taskbar...wondering why your puter slowed down...

    I just wish I could afford Premium...I'm kinda jobless and poor, or I'd love to help you guys out...

    Keep up the good work...I've got more and more friends joining everyday {although that might not help-we're all poor, jobless 16-year-olds :o) }

    Later Daze~

    Hey guys,

    I know that you need the ads to help generate revenue for the site, but do they have to be pop-ups? I wouldn't mind extra banner ads on the site itself, but the pop-ups mess up my computer sometimes...it's REALLY annoying...

    Maybe if my job this summer pays well I'll be able to afford a subscription for awhile *crosses her fingers and toes*...but until then I still have to deal with the ads...

    Take care,
    Xedri
