I have now added rudimentary support for Internationalisation, by way of setting the content type character set. At the moment there are three options, which are the default of 'iso-8859-1' (which is what English diarists use), 'utf-8' and 'big5'.
If you've written your diary in Chinese and it suddenly looks all wrong, you will need to login, click Customize and then choose General Diary Options, Basic Settings. On the pop up screen you'll need to choose 'big5' from the drop down list marked 'Your Character Set'.
At the present moment bizarre things will probably happen if you try to do searching and such like in a non latin character set because the backend database doesn't properly support utf-8. The next version of MySQL does reportedly support utf-8 and when its finally production quality I will upgrade to it and further improve the support for non-English.
If your diary is written in English (or any Western European language) you can safely ignore this entry!
Steve.
