The Humorist is "Out"
Fri Mar 14 2003

I am not much of a humorist today. I can’t find the funny hat.

I think my mood is being affected by the falling barometric pressure. The storm approaches. I watch it’s progress on the internet. Big cloud, full of water headed this way. We need it too.

I’ve put all my garden tools in the garage and made sure the potted plants are out where they will get a drink when it rains. If I had hatches, they would be battened down.

I am reading a very interesting book called “The Harried Leisure Class” by Staffan Linder. I am enjoying it, although it is a bit of a slog as it is pretty dense in an economic/social theory kind of way. I have had to read some sentences over a few times because I wasn’t following his thoughts very well. But it’s worth the effort. I am hoping to give you a book report when I am finished, if I can put two or three thoughts together that make sense.

As I sit here writing, I can see both the cat and the dog snoozing away. Robbie on the cool kitchen floor, and the cat in the rocking chair. It’s amazing to me how many hours these animals spend sawing logs.

Outside, the wind it beginning to pick up. . .

I was out lunching with a friend today. It was quite pleasant at the time, but I see now that the wind is picking up.

News report said thunderstorms maybe tomorrow.

We just MUST get to the Crocker pretty soon. My lunch friend was there earlier this week, and also went to the Embassy Suites. She says their whole lobby is an art gallery.

    Seeya in about three hours.
