Jabberwocky in Iraqi
Tue Apr 15 2003

Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
They found our POWs today !

Such a blessing.
Thank God.

Things seem to be going as well as can be expected considering the enormity of the task. That General what’s his name surrendering, that was a good thing too.

Lots of statues and pictures of the “supreme leader” have been torn down all over the place. Did you see those people riding the head around in the street?

We decided that there should be a new saying:

“It ain’t over till they ride the bronze head down the street.”

I like it better than the “fat lady” one, how about you ?

Pass it on !

Okay, I admit, the looting was pretty scary. But to tell you the truth these people have SO much pent up “payback” emotions, I just cannot get too worked up about some TVs and air conditioning units, or whatever else they took. They were owed more than that. Besides to them, this could all seem temporary. To their way of thinking who knows what might happen tomorrow ? In the meantime, “I need a refrigerator”, seems to have some merit.

Did you see those guys leading the horses down the street that they had taken from Saddam’s stables? (I assume they were his) First thing I thought of was I wonder if anyone had been feeding and watering them during the bombing or if their keepers had run off. Now at least, someone will care for the horses.

There is a monumental amount of work to do now, and I am sure there will be good days and bad days. But I cannot say that I am unhappy with the results so far. One would very much like to know where the “supreme leader” is today, that is a very loose end that I would like to see tied off. But time will tell.

Gotta run, getting ready for Passover today and tomorrow. Lots to do.

Oh yeah, to the freed American soldiers....Welcome Home...

I haven't had the TV on today, so I don't know what further victories have been achieved. I do know that this is only the beginning.

Now we have to repair what was destroyed, and somehow or other, introduce some form of representative government that these people can understand. They've never known anything but repression at the hands of a vile dictator and his flunkies.

    God help us.

Yes, very good news indeed! A true relief, although there is much work to be done, much chaos to tame.

    Peace! *smile*

Very joyous happenings indeed! Just such a shame that the looting went over the top into the museums where treasured items of the countries history have been stolen and/or distroyed.

The dancing atop the statue of Saddam by the liberated people of Iraq, and watching them beating it with their shoes (a sign of the very lowest discust in that country) was a site to behold to be sure!

Yes, the serious job of rebuilding Iraq has just begun. Gods speed..........
