I have put my kitchen back together into it’s pre-Pesach configuration and all seems back to normal. We are very excited about eating challah.
Hubby and I figured we could make a meal of challah and butter and jam tonight. But I’m cooking some fish and vegetables just to make it an official meal. But really, the fish is only an excuse to eat the challah…
It’s been windy all day and rainy off and on. My garden loves the rain though and everything is growing happily. It’s too cold to plant green beans and squash yet, so I am waiting for warmer weather. But I did transplant some basil that I bought at Wal-Mart. I am adding them to the plants I started from seed out in the raised beds. Can one EVER have too much basil growing in the garden ?
The tomatoes continue to spend the night indoors in their milk cartons, but they are getting quite big now and will be in need of transplanting before long.
It will be time to light the candles soon and then we can switch to Shabbat time. Reading, lounging, no writing or computers, no shopping….ahh it’s a good thing.
It’s good to have a day like this. I am so driven most of the time. Even though I might appear quiet on the outside, inside my head is cooking up lists of things I SHOULD be doing. Well, on Shabbat the listmaker has to take a vacation.
Thank God.
