On The Road

Here in the mountains. Lovely day, pleasantly warm, not too hot, just right.

Have been visiting with my parents and middle son and daughter in law. The men went out to do some shooting, we stayed home and cooked and made flower arrangements. I guess you would have to call us traditionalists, at least today!

It's nice to have a different routine. Robbie is enjoying the "new" territory and even set a stray cat straight about who is in charge here for the weekend.
Although to be honest, there is NO way Robbie could keep up with that cat. He just made a really convincing bluff and the cat fell for it.

Last night I went outside and noticed the stars. I forgot how clear the air is here. It was awsome to see them in all their magnificence again. I forgot there was such a thing as the milky way. Where we are living near the city, the air is rarely ever clear enough to see so many stars. I think I will make it a point to check them again tonight.

We are hunting out a place to put a geocache. We found a likely spot today and hope to get it placed and posted tomorrow. It will be fun to see how many people find it in the the next several months.

Well, back to the back porch picnic. I came in for a handfull of M&M's for dessert. And to write this. My M&M's are gone, and suddenly I can't think of a thing to write about!!!

Chocolate.... Brain food.....

We used to vacation in Baja California, across the bay from Ensenada. The view of the night sky was incredible, glorious, fascinating, and several other words I can't think of now.

There were no distracting city lights where we camped, and the lights of Ensendada sparkling across the bay combined with the heavenly show was something utterly beautiful. Ah, yes, the Milky Way. When was the last time I saw it? Punta Banda across the bay from Ensenada.

    Shalom
