One Job Too Many
Sun Jun 29 2003

The sun is down and the breeze is blowing. It has turned into a pleasant evening. I am going to do some watering in the garden. The heat has really been hard on it. We even have a brown patch in the lawn that was overlooked and now needs an extra soak.

Hubby is reading Harry Potter. He got to go first because I was finishing up a library book when we got the new book. Well, I finished mine and am eyeing him wishing I had his! He tells me little things from it now and then, but I have been warning him I don’t want to know too much!

Tomorrow is Sunday and I have a plan of attack for doing housework, which except for doing dishes, has been pretty much non-existent around here all week. This is the part about working full time I don’t get.
When do people do their regular chores? Who has time? Or the energy?
I am so used to being pretty much on top of this kind of thing that I feel a little depressed that it’s not done. After all, the house WAS my job, now I have two jobs and one of them is going begging. It is not a recipe for peace of mind. And frankly, peace of mind is a lot more important to me than money. But we DO need the money for some necessary things so I will plug along. I just need to figure out how to keep my house in order, or what’s the point? If you don’t have a comfortable retreat from the world, you could get very disoriented. At least that’s the way it is for me.

Well, enough whining. We will see what we can accomplish tomorrow to get ready for another week. . .

Well, I reckon the housework is a job all on its own. Hope you can get it all sorted so you can live with it for a while. ;-)
