I'm a Little Teapot
Thu Jul 03 2003

I will not bore you with the minutia of my work day.
I WILL however offer you the following which describes it fairly well. Waiting around for someone to show you how to do something can drive a normal person right out of their minds. Especially when it takes more time to explain it than it does to DO it!

I hope I can hang in there for the next 6 weeks. I will say however, that the people I am working around are really great. Cheerful and funny. So that is one thing that is encouraging in all this...
Anyway, here you have it. I hope you know the song.
If you do, everyone sing along, Maybe I will hear you and we will have a little chuckle together :-)

Summer Help Blues

( To the tune of “I’m a Little Teapot” )

I’m a little project,
New and dumb.
This is my idleness,
Throw me a crumb.

I will waste your time,
Before you know.
Papers piling up,
Just like the snow.

Bet you’re really sorry
You asked for me.
Sort of like asking,
Polecats to tea.

If you turn me loose
Unsupervised.
Files will blow up,
Before your eyes!

Genius! I love it, it has all the possibilitis for a breakaway hit. Happy that I could inspire you yesterday, and I hope that your visit back home let the creativity flow. You are too too kind re my writing but as I'm a feedback junkie I thank you anyway.

    Hugs

Just catching up with you here. Your life has changed! Wow, a working woman, and in a hospital no less! I am wondering if you are still considering working in a bookstore . . . it's been on my mind more and more often as a very good option. I am all for temp jobs though, especially potential hire-in jobs through them as you can decide if it's right for you or not. Good luck to you over the next six weeks. At least you know there is an end to the position to look forward to!

Being a working person, I have learned to enjoy the 'lived in' look at home and have named the dust bunnies that live under my couch. *smile* I also buy plastic silverware and paper plates, and lots of microwavable meals.
