I have figured out one way to help myself stay sane while working full-time.
Get to bed early.
I did that last night and this morning I woke up at 5:30 feeling rested. I got dressed and went for 45 minute walk. It was cool this morning and partly cloudy. I walked over to the open area near the creek and walked all around the perimeter. I almost got stymied by a drainage ditch with about six inches of water in it and probably as many inches of mud. But lo and behold some other walker had come up against the same problem. He or she had laid sandbags neatly stacked, across the ditch. Great! I walked across the sand bridge and made my way over to the service road where I could finish the loop and go back home. I love going out there, you can see so much sky and open field. I scared a jackrabbit who bounced, well, jackrabbits don't bounce, they sort of run upright come to think of it, and very fast. I'm glad he wasn't my breakfast because I would have gone hungry. And I also disturbed two domestic cats that were waiting for a chance to catch a field mouse about 10 yards from their back fences. (Must be friends of Bob) They slinked off when they saw me to their back porches in a huff.
It was as a good start to the day. And the way I figure it the day started at 9:00 last night when I got myself off to bed!
Later in the day....
Spent a quiet day at work. Supervisor took a half day off, and left me with a small project which I finished and then went on the internet to do some training modules that are required. I read screens and screens about sexual harassment and correct lifting postures and how to identify pod people at the workplace...
Well, . . . they didn't have that last module.... but they SHOULD!
Our computers are being affected by the latest internet virus. This interferes with certain test results not being sent on time to the doctors, which is done on line now. It's awful. Some slime ball punk somewhere has impressed the hell out of his geeky buddies by spreading this virus. But I am sure he never thought about the fact that people's health and wellbeing could be affected by his "awesome" "clever" and "audacious" computer virus. I hope they find him. He should be publically flogged.
Just call me Judge Judy.
Oh, here's a picture of Bob....
