Defragment the Cupcake, Quick
Sat Sep 06 2003

How pathetic am I?

I am ready for work, and I’m sitting here watching my computer defragment itself.

I don’t have enough time to really accomplish anything, so I’m doing nothing. Well, I’m doing nothing and writing about doing nothing. . . That’s pathetic too.

Oh if I could only stay home today! The things I would do.

But as it is, my house is getting more and more grungy, neglected, and pathetic too. This weighs on my mind, and makes me feel bad all over.

I feel like cleaning off bookshelves and dumping out drawers and cleaning out cupboards. It’s fall after all. It’s time to button up for winter right? Never mind that a few days ago it was 102.

Never mind, I like the birds and a few trees I have seen know that the days are getting shorter and winter IS on it’s way.

Oh look! The defragmenter is up to 78%. Wow.

(Oh boy, somebody give this girl a life…… or wait, maybe we should just give her house back to her. I’ll bet that would do it. Do you think she’s going to make it till the end of the month? . . . It would take a miracle…. Bye bye! )

Hey, it's okay. If you've ever read my diary, one might wonder, "Why does she even write here? Her life is so boring, it doesn't really need to be written about!"

    lol

By the way, I dig your Index button and your Read button (I made those a long time ago, and I've never seen anyone use em! lol).

OH can I ever relate to all of that! I sure did want to stay home today, and do so many things around the house. Ah, well. In a way I envy you your countdown to freedom, although for having to work I sure am happy with my job so I suppose instead I will just be thankful.

I have a good word that you will like courtesy of my archaic words dictionary. Powfag meaning to tire bodily from overwork, to become worn out in mind from care or anxiety or to work to the point of exhaustion.

See watching the computer defrag is perfectly normal you're just powfagged!

Are you sure you're feeling okay? You *want* to do housework? Take heart, it won't be long now and you can clean and scrub to your heart's content. ;-)

My grandmother knew nothing but housework. I don't know if she enjoyed it, but her house sure looked clean and neat all the time. And her cooking---Oh! to die for!

This was before the days of automatic washers and dryers, and every Monday morning she had her laundry out on the clothesline never later than 6:00 am.

I hate housekeeping. The happy homemaker gene skipped me.

    Shalom!
