At the town where I get off the freeway and have to drive another 30 miles to get here, I saw an unusual sight. As I came down the off ramp, I noticed a man sitting across the way at the on ramp. He was quite near the edge of the road. I noticed he had a small igloo cooler in front of him and he was putting something kind of large up close to his face, and I thought... oh he's eating subway sandwich out of his lunch box there. I had to wait for a car that was coming to pass by and I looked again.
Now, I don't think I could swear in a court of law to the following, but I am 99% sure that he had a bull frog in his hands. And as I made my left turn, he put him up close to his face and was talking to him. Thus giving new meaning to the purpose of the cooler. I figure the thing was the bullfrog's home. I have no idea how the bullfrog FEELS about this situation, but if I was him, at the FIRST opportunity, I would make my escape.
I left them close in conversation with the bullfrog's legs hanging down, in what I could only think was terror or resignation. (Not being very familiar with bullfrog body language and all)
Anyway, needless to say, I am happy in the knowledge that 30 miles separates me from said man and his frog. AND it's good to know they were headed north, while I went south. Although I doubt that guy is going to get a ride unless he puts his frog in his cooler, if you know what I mean. . .
The world is a strange and wonderous place don't you think?
