Goofing Off And Freaking Out
Sun Oct 26 2003

We are puttering around today. We hung a window blind in the kitchen window.
I'm printing out DD entries to put in a binder I have for them.
And if I get real ambitious, I am going out in the garden and clear away some of the jungle. Wish I could make a burn pile. But that is not possible in our neighborhood. Burn piles are country things.

Bookworm has gotten me in a tizzy. It's all her fault...

I went to the NaNoWriMo site and read all about the "novel in 30 days" concept and was cracking up at the humorous way they are going about the whole thing. And being full of admiration for the concept. I think I want to sign up and give it a go. But knowing what a taskmaster my first born nature is, I would feel like CRAP if I didn't follow through! So I am on again off again with the idea every hour or so.... AHHHRRRGGGG!

Even if you don't have any desire to write a novel. Check out the site and read their instructions and FAQ's. They are good for a hearty good natured laugh!

www.nanowrimo.org

If you are going to sign up though, let me know. I am curious to know if many of us here at DD are going to participate....

Me, I haven't decided yet.... AAHHHHRRRRGGGG!

I don't have any desire to write a novel, but I think I'll check out the site anyway.

I'm always up for a good laugh! You DEFINITELY won't find me writing a novel, though. Maybe LIVING one. Take care! P~~~

I'm considering the Novel project, but it just seems like an impossible task given the time of year (working on Thanksgiving and Christmas projects) and the fact that I have a full-time job and a husband picking up extra shifts, making me a single parent 6 days a week. At least they acknowledge that a lot of what you write may be total crap. I guess if I'm allowed to turn in bad writing, it is an achievable goal. Let us know if you decide to go for it!

Well, R and I have been working on a novel together for a several years now, so I guess the 30 days idea is moot. Pretty soon we ought to take it out of the file drawer and dust it off and move it from "outline and half-finished first draft" into a new stage. Good luck on yours!
