Pragmatist Was Here
Wed May 05 2004

Yesterday the Pragmatist was here for several hours using my computer to try and catch up on her email. 350 pieces..... and that was after getting rid of the junk mail!
She made a dent, but has a long ways to go. Hopefully her computer problems will be addressed soon by her remote geek, (being a son who lives many miles away!)

We had a nice (if I do say so myself) lunch of lentil stew, challah and chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven.

In the meantime, know she is thinking of you all!

Yesterday I got an email from the webmaster of Weblog Reviews that my application to be a reviewer had been accepted. (See link at the bottom of my page) I submitted my first review last night and am waiting to see if it was acceptable. It was an adventure giving a critique on someone else's blog/diary/journal/website, I still would like to have some better definitions in my own mind of how to catagorize them. It's the anal retentive part of me. :-)

In any case, assuming that they don't think I am submitting complete rubbish, I am hoping to hone my writing skills by doing something challenging. The goal is to write at least one review a week.

Of course if one of the characters from Bogwillow shows up and wants to write a review, we could be in serious trouble !

It's been warming up here and I came within seconds of turning on the air conditioner in the early evening yesterday. But we decided to open up the house instead. It worked.... but it won't work for long. It's time to get the outdoor shades out and try to keep some of the heat out. Funny, seems like I just put them away not that long ago. . .

It's always odd to read Bookworm and Sezrah from the lands down under talking about the cool weather coming upon them, when we are facing the warming trends.

I'm rambling. I'll spare you any further annoyance and do the rest of my morning mind meanderings in private. :-)

As I depart, Cat Stevens is singing... Moonshadow.... love it!

Things have started to heat up around here too. I actually have had to run the air conditioner a couple of times. That's one thing that I hate about this house. It can really retain the heat. When the sun is out it gets pretty hot in here. Actually looks like I will be running the air conditioner again today but I don't mind. It's a lot better than if it was snowing outside.

thanks for your visit to my journal do come again sometime
the way i like to argue about ideas and my belief really and truly is that most of the time there is no black and white no this person is wrong and that person is totally right there is a zillion and one grey areas and you just listen to what the other person has to say and your mind grows im sure you agree with me
there is truth to what you say and truth to what i say i am exagerating for humorous effect and presenting a view that isn't usually presented but it has some truth
that was beautiful when you said the parent is loving and caring and the teenager just naturally wants to get away it made me stop and realize there are other relationships that way also although of different quality than the parental one
i see a lot of good in all people teenagers included and i am sure you agree that is because others love them when i see beauty in a mean person i don't meet too many people like thatit is like discovering a rare precious stone it really restores my faith in all of humanity
i am nobody's mentor and everyone is my mentor if something i say in my poetry can be used by others than that is beautiful and the greatest gift you can give anyone is to listen to others because in so doing you listen to yourself hey i like that line thanks for your inspiration and i do like your oracle thing
wow your friend has 350 emails christ i dont even get junk mail i am doing something wrong ha
shalom i am not jewish but i understand that shalom means the peace that surpasses all understanding i love that because mortal knowledge is not even a sliver in the tree of life
    see yourjournal again sometime
