Picture Updates
Sun Jun 06 2004

Here are a couple more pictures. I am afraid these two of the hollyhocks do not do them justice. They were not taken at a good time of day to show their amazing beauty. I guess some things are just better experienced in person.

And here is a picture of the state of the garden facing north. The sunflowers are making a spectacle of themselves as usual :-)

It's on the agenda to see Harry Potter tomorrow. I hope we have better luck in our seating partners than Allimom... Maybe we should take a squirt gun along just in case of noisy neighbors. . .

Wow, things really grow big in your garden. All my plants are so puny. Guess I had better break out the Miracle Grow. :)

RYC: Yes, there was whinneying and snorting, but no clods of flying dirt. The lawn does show a few hoof prints though. And yes, she looked pretty....... pretty big, pretty powerful, and pretty scary.

Squirt gun... GOOD idea! I'll have to remember that for the next time we see it!

Your sunflowers look great! Mine are struggling along, still under a foot tall. I'm starting to think they may not make it this year.

I love your hollyhocks also. I would love to plant some, but don't have anywhere in the yard left that gets enough sun.

Enjoy the movie & good luck in the seating department!

The flowers are lovely, and the sunflowers are just rambunctious! How wonderful it must be to walk into the yard and see all that joy.

And the bedspread on the previous entry, too. Of course, yellow is my favorite color. It makes me want to pull out my crochet hook and get to work.

    Hugs,
    Ani

I agree the long shot of the hollyhocks doesn't do them justice, but the closeup is pretty good. They are beautiful!

Do you cultivate the sunflowers for their seeds? Or just because they do so brighten up the scenery.
