What a cute idea! I can't wait to hear if someone ventures here from one of your cards.

OOOoooh I soooo love your idea of leaving cards around for people to come across. Kind of sneaky and secretive. If I wasn't concerned about someone I know reading my innermost thoughts and Tupperware-cupboard cleaning frenzies I would too leave a card here and there.
It reminds me of the book club I have just joined, I don't know if you've heard of it, it's called bookcrossing.com, you leave a book in a public place with a relevant label, then register it on the website, then, if and when it is found and read, that person leaves a message about the book on the site.

I like it and to tell you the truth, if I found one of those on my windshield, I probably would go check it out.
hmmmmm...maybe parking lots would be a good idea. Just be sure you dress in the proper attire; big hat pulled low over eyes, sunglasses and a trench coat. :)

I like a good thunderstorm, too. I was out on the porch watching it and being poured on when the house got hit. I might think about being a bit more careful next time!!

If you look at the bottom of any entry on my diary, you'll see a counter run by Sitemeter. Sitemeter has free (and not so free) meters that keep track of the comings and going on you web page. Unlike Dear Diary's built in hit meter, you can get specific information about your visitors (their IP#, what time they visited, how many pages they hit on your diary, what page they entered on, what page they left on, how long they lingered, where they were referred from). I've found it handy for monitoring access to my diary. I usually check what the referring pages are because that tells you finds your web page through a web search, and even tells you what key words they used on their search. For a while my diary was a hit because of "turtle tanks" and "purple unicorn tubes" (I never did figure that one out). But this new interest in my diary because of a word I made up is something altogether new.
I have hopes I can sell the trademark for "Aspirus" for enough money to pay for a certain kitten's bills!

It sure is the free one. I don't mind paying for a membership to Dear Diary, but I really don't need much more than what the free Sitemeter gives me, so I go with that.

You're right. That one word sets the entire scene. That is the gift that he has. He says with one word what others have to use an entire paragraph (or more)to say. Maybe his gift is simplicity?

RYC: We owned this property when the mountain blew, but we were living in Canby, Or. at that time. We had some ash fall in Canby, but none here. Probably because we are due west from the mountain and most of the ash went east and then drifted south.
Enchanted Butterfy was only four months old at the time. My how time flies. :)

Love the card. You are too funny! And I too am hooked on Beauty Dish. She is a great writer. It's one of the first diaries I discovered when you gave me the link the review.
