A partial success has been achieved on the Goldenrod tablet search.
The part that wasn't achieved was procurement of a genuine Goldenrod.
What did happen was I found some cheap yellow lined tablets at the dollar store that really were a nice mellow saffron gold, quite different than that bright legal pad yellow. I brought two of them home and proceeded to make a cover for one using my American Greetings Print software. I have a nice yellow bouquet of wildflowers and under that I have the word Goldenrod in large letters. And I am very satisfied with the results.
I bought a packet of old fashioned BIC pens, those ones with the clear plastic shaft and blue nib cover that they made when I was going to high school in the 60's. I settled into a chair yesterday afternoon and scribbled away for 45 minutes in writer's tactile nirvana. I wrote about little or nothing, but it was very satisfying nonetheless.
I've had a productive day. Writing a Weblog Review, cleaning house, doing a few loads of laundry, washing a few windows inside and out and hanging some new curtains that I bought for the kitchen window. They are lovely white swags with cutout edges with green grapes and blue flowers with a little gold accent. I would take a picture for you, but I'm still waiting for my premium account to be renewed. The check's in the mail HONEST Hamiko Inc.!
I also did some mending that had been piling up on my sewing table. Now it's all tidy over there and my drawers are full of things I can wear again.
I'm about to get busy in the kitchen making some yellow split pea soup for dinner and slicing a small batch of harvested tomatoes into the dehydrator.
Yep, just call me Little Miss Susie Homemaker. And imagine a smile on my face too.
