I am probably on my way to becoming insufferably de-cluttered.
One might almost say, smugly de-cluttered.
I ventured into my walk in closet today, and emerged with 5, count 'em 5, garbage bags full of stuff to take to the Salvation Army. It speaks volumes that all the items I put in the bags are hand-downable, for I DO get rid of the really worn out stuff on a regular basis.
As soon as I get to my desk and the cupboard under the bathroom sink, I will be well and truly free of extra stuff.... Oh wait, I forgot, the hall closet too. But frankly, I don't think there is much in there to fuss about, it's a very small closet, mostly filled with extra coats and the vacuum cleaners.
I feel so..... light and calm and, and organized that it opens up other areas to me, and they almost always revolve around creative pursuits. On the back patio, the purple felted bag is drying in the weak winter sun. This particular one really shrank big time. Some of the yarn even stuck together on the inside and I had to pry it apart when I took it out of the washer. Various brands of wool act very differently in the felting process. I am making notes! I don't think I will work with this brand anymore... too wild in the wash!
I haven't made the handles yet, but when it is all finished I will post a picture.
Did you notice that Bookworm DID have her baby boy on the 22 of January? They are both home. That's about all she had time to write. I am hoping to hear more today! Mazal Tov!
Well, off to find my knitting needles.
Oh yes. Thursday's words of wisdom. . .
From Rabbi Nachman of Breslov:
If despite all your determined efforts you cannot seem to reach your goals, be patient. Between acceptance and anxiety, choose acceptance."
