Invaded By Short People
Sun Mar 13 2005

Whew!

The three granddaughters just vacated the premises.

They spent the night last night in all their pink and blue nightgowns, tangled hair, cat chasing (poor Griffen), I want a drink of water, I don't like potato soup, I want my mommy, sleep resisting, I don't want to leave the playground even though it's getting dark and cold, when are we going to watch a movie?, I don't like that movie, it's scary, (Jumaji), wake up in the middle of the night kind of way.

Though I have to admit, I am MUCH more relaxed as a grandma than I was as a mother. Though I did have to get hard nosed about a certain short person trying to put a penny in her mouth. Even grandmas have to draw the line SOMEWHERE.

And soon I have to go to work!

I went to work on Friday too, so I will have 3 whole days in this pay period!

Work will seem easy today, after the three whirling dervishes.

And I will be able to start a new bag there because I finished this one:

[album 65561 Green Fuzz Bag2.JPG]

I haven't put the handles on yet, because I am waiting to see if a friend of mine wants this bag, and I wanted her to be able to decide how she wants the handles attached.

It is made with bulky Lopi wool yarn and turned out VERY fuzzy. I'm thinking that this is one that might benefit from a shave with a sweater shaver. But again, that is up to my friend. It took two days to dry completely it is so thick!

It's overcast this morning, making for a rather nice, sit by the fireplace and gather up my granddaughter scattered wits opportunity.

Which I think I will take, thank you very much.

Three grandkids all at one time? A glutton for punishment or a masochist.

    Ah, but aren't they precious!!

Little short people are lots of fun, but very tiring. Where did we find the energy for them when we were raising our own?

Remember how Julie and I said you should name your pretty bags? This one could be named either Jasmine or Lily; it reminds me of my tabby cats, stiped and a little fluffy. All it needs is a touch of rhinestone to set it off. :)

That would be Striped not stiped; geesh a little merlot therapy and I can't spell worth beans. LOL.
