Still Sane
Tue May 03 2005

Have been at work all day today. Got up at O Dark-thirty.

I have one thing to share from my experience today....

Take a moment to value your sanity.

I know, I know, we all have varying degrees of it, but just take a moment to be thankful.

On the way home, at the request of Hub Man, I bought some large pearl tapioca. I have some soaking in water on the counter right now. They look like white frozen fish eyes. But I suppose if I drown them in enough eggs, milk and sugar with a splash of vanilla, I will be able to slide them down alright.

I read an interesting thing today. Evidently, (there was a study you see), if you smell vanilla, you will not crave chocolate as much. I heard a company in the UK actually makes a vanilla scented patch for the purpose. Is that true? Let me check....

HA! Nope, the web site is there, but they have now opened really real stores and don't sell online anymore. How very polite of them!

You can look at it yourself if you want.

I suppose one could soak a bandaid with vanilla extract and wear in on your forearm or something. Sounds silly.

I might try it!

Enough of this trivia, I have knitting to tend to... :-)

I've got some vanilla perfume oil, I'll have to try it and see. But I have to say that I've been wearing it for years and I don't know that it's made much of a difference. Me and chocolate get along much better than we should.

I don't think notifies are working, I didn't know about this entry until I clicked on the homepage and saw you there. Glad I caught you. :o)

The bandaid solution sounds practical. But what I need is something that says Sweet? Yuck!

For me it doesn't have to be chocolate--although that's the preferred flavor--all it needs is sugar and lots of it, and I'm hooked.

    I found my green yarn.

I can see it now. I'd soak my bandaid in vanilla extract and get drunk.. I'd end up with a mug shot in county jail..
    :0
    Charged with DUI..

"Oh but officer I was just trying to break the chocolate habit......"
    hmmmmmmm
