Dog Gone
Thu Dec 01 2005

Well, no pictures of the dog in the next county. We drove up there in the late, late afternoon only to find out that he had already been adopted. I tried several times to get them on the phone beforehand to see if he was still there. I guess they don't keep very up to date with their web site which is too bad.

But at least I now know how to get there. If Hub Man hadn't been along, I would have gotten lost for sure.

I'm getting a little worn out by all this to tell you the truth. The shelters are difficult places to visit. Your heart goes out to most of the doggies. The pit bulls are not so appealing, truth to tell, but that's a whole other subject.

I may have to take a break from it for a while.

It is a bona fide Winnie the Pooh "blustery day" outside, and guess who needs to go grocery shopping?

Just picture me with my umbrella, walking about saying, "Tut tut, looks like rain!"

You just haven't found the dog that is waiting to come live with you. When he shows up, all of you will know.

Yeah, I know about the shelters. You want to adopted every one of them. It's painful.

I'm going out into the bluster today, too. But it'll be a pleasure: Leisure League luncheon.

    Shalom

You've put in a form with the shelter to contact you with the specific breeds you're looking for haven't you? You might also just get the word out to the rescue organizations that you're looking.
You could also browse the ads in the paper, although that is not always the best source for finding a pup.
You will find the right one, just be patient.

Now I'm picturing you in yellow raincoat and hat with boots. ;o)

Sorry about the doggie, I really was hoping for pictures today. I understand about needing to take a break though, especially as one who flat out cannot visit shelters without bursting into tears.

I can just see you, seems like the image suits, too. Sorry about the doggie. Hope you find the right one soon. ;-)
