Bits and Signs
Tue Jan 24 2006

Chores loom.

I vacuumed in self defence. Dogs track in a lot of . . .bits. Not to mention doggie hair. Not REAL bad. But bad enough to vacuum more than my usual once a week.

Need to clean some in the bathroom, but every time I think about it, I make a face, stick out my tongue, or make some other expression of disgust.

I will have to break it down into parts again. I just cannot face the blitzkrieg method any more when it comes to bathroom cleaning.

Pruned the peach tree yesterday. It has a butch haircut now and is ready for its winter dormant spray to keep the peach leaf curl at bay.... hopefully.

I bought myself the soundtrack from the movie "Signs" last night at Barnes and Noble as my birthday present. I love it. Hub Man took me out to Fresh Choice for dinner and I had some really excellent cream of tomato soup. Makes me want to modify my own recipe a bit.

I have been fooling around with a cheap little computer cam that we have. I found out I can send video emails from my internet provider's web site. It's kind of fun. You can make a slide show of your photos and narrate them. I have sent out three test ones to my middle son to see if they work. I don't know how fast a computer you need for them, but I'm sure dial up would be a problem.

A family member went to a seminar over the weekend and was so excited about it that they invited us to come for an evening one tonight. It is called Landmark.
Anybody ever heard of it? From what I read about it, it seems pretty sound. In any case, we are going to a three hour program with our relative. I'm sure they would like to sign more people up, but I'm not going to let that stop me from finding out what has our S. so enthused.

I'll let you know how it goes.

The edginess would not let go of me so after I picked up my son from school I did a little research. Landmark is not EST under a new name, but it is of the same genre. There are two articles worth reading at the site below. Click on the link to "large group awareness training program" that is highlighted in the first paragraph to get to the second article.

Hope this helps.....and please forgive me if I've been over reacting. Its my knee jerk reaction to the "Zen training". I still suffer flash backs from time to time. :)

Oops, I was wrong. It is the same. I should have read the last paragraph before I wrote to you.

I hate all chores, not matter what they are. Glad you've done the pruning. That's a tough chore in my opinion, too. Glad you got spoilt on your birthday, too. ;-)

I forgot to tell you yesterday - it's your birthday week - no chores until next week. Tell HubMan I said it was okay.

I hate having to do housework but at least I got all of mine done on Sunday so I could relax on my last day off from work.

Hugs and lots of love from the last frontier,
    Cyndi
