Run Her Around The Field Another Time. See If That Helps
Thu Jan 26 2006

Wow. I am really fidgety today.

Took Sunny out to the fields where she did an all out race around. No rabbits thank goodness. I think today she might have caught one, she was so fast.
She is crashed on the floor nearby recuperating now. But the long walk did nothing to alleviate my wound up state. Must be hormonal. What a dreary explanation.

I planted four seeds from some wisteria seed pods that a friend gave to me. I wonder if they will grow? Put them in a planter. I am kind of afraid of wisteria. It is beautiful, but can run rampant.

I have my seed order made out and sitting here on the desk. My only excuse is I'm waiting for payday to send it off. It is a kind of big one this year, as I used up almost all my seeds that I had left over last year and now have to get new. Several kinds of tomatoes and I am going to try my hand at some melons. I don't care for most melons unless they are anything like honeydew. So I ordered three to try that seem as unlike cantaloup as I can find in the book. And one packet of sweet peas. The pretty fragrant kind, not the edible ones.

Ah, I cannot sit still another minute. I must away to some project or another.

(How rude.)

Alas, I cannot argue.

I wish I had that energy!! Just feeding the Kritters is a chore for the compacted frozen snow
will slow one down. We are under a winter advisor for tonight with 2-4 " new snow.and next 5 days look no better. Fun time is watching the cats sink through the Ice crust and try to jump only to sink in deeper when landing. Took pity and made a few paths with the Honda ATV and they were quick to pick up on the paths made.
I think Sunny would tire after a few runs and be rather upset with ice crust on her belly.

You might try Scarlet Runner beans. I grew them up here last year, and while I got a decent crop, they didn't seem to be as happy in the cooler Seattle weather as they might have in warmer drier weather down your direction. I didn't pick them to eat as green beans, but rather let them grow then shucked them when they had dried, and made soup. I'm not sure about the flavor and texture of them as green beans.

Might as well make the most of the burst of energy. Very cool that you're buying all those seeds for things to grow in your garden. ;-)

The fidgets must be going around - I don't seem to get much done but I scurry around doing everything anyway. Here's hoping for a better Friday for both of us.

I wish we had more room. I would love to have a vegetable garden. Good luck with yours this year.

Hugs and love from the last frontier,
