"My, my.
It's been a long hot summer.
I am fair tuckered
from all our summer chores.
But the sight of ripe
tomatoes and melons,
not to mention
a handful of peaches
that are turning the
corner towards ripening
makes it all seem
worthwhile.
Though I could use
a nice cold glass of
lemonade right about now.
Excuse me, won't you?
Ta-ta!

Oh yes, I almost forgot.
She who must not be named
wanted me to tell you
that slushies made with
frozen melon chunks and
lemonade is a wonderous
drink, worthy of emulation
should you be so bold
as to give it a try.

NOW, I'm going."

    isnt it lovely for us that ripe tomatoes and melons and a handful peaches and a nice cold glass of lemonade embellished well all of this isnt just a dream for us

    I do thank you, Hen, for that slushie tip. I'll give it a try, but I think I'll have a slice of watermelon beore I try the slushie.

    I wonder how chilled melon slush with champagne would be? Maybe a nice change from a Mimosa?

    On account of us not eating fresh fruit fast enough I need to invest in some frozen fruit for such moments. I keep promising myself strawberry smoothies with various types of fruit but never seem to remember to actually try it. Silly me. ;o)
