Tenacious Autumn
Tue Oct 24 2006

My apologies for a few typos and other oddities in yesterday's story. I composed it in Word, but have to copy it to notepad and then paste into Bloggar and some of the punctuation I used for ( ) and the face he made was actually html code to Bloggar and since it was floating around alone like that, Bloggar just dumped it. Without asking me either. Cheeky Bloggar.

Ah computers. They just don't play well with others do they?

We are having such an Indian Summer here, that I am beginning to doubt if winter rains will ever come to us. I am really longing for a nice rain. But it is hard to complain too much about the cool nights and warm days. As the Little Red Hen says, it wouldn't be good manners.

I, too, am enjoying the autumn weather. I need to walk several times a day (RLS) and really enjoy the cool shadows and warm sun. I was particularly enchanted by the clouds yesterday. I should have taken pictures.

Love the cool nights and warm bed.

    Shalom

I'm sure winter will hit you soon and you will hate it! Ha ha

It's been in the mid to high twenties (Celsius) for us here in spring and back where I used to live it's been around 13 degrees! Brrrrr! How I ever lived there for 25 years I'll never know!

Am catching up, slowly, but had to pop over and ask if you saw THE shawl?

We're having an unusually mild time here, too. We haven't yet even had a real frost though there are sources that claim we went down to 26 one night. Considering we're up by 5:45 a.m. and didn't witness any such thing, I have my doubts *raises eyebrows* Since we haven't even had our first frost I guess we're still due for Indian Summer.

I totally agree - I even read it out loud to Rick. It's changed my attitude about the afghan in progress right now which is a slow stitch (GOT TO TAKE A PICTURE DARN IT!) but coming along nicely... I've hopefully lost the feeling that it's going to take forever to finish and am (at least now) contemplating enjoying the work that goes into it. I hope that feeling lasts - feel free to remind me of her post, okay? I bookmarked that one for future reference.

Rain rain rain in the forecast here which is nice for a change. It seemed like a long hot summer to me and I don't begrudge the rain from falling. Yet.
