Beg Pardon
Fri Jan 05 2007

Pardon me for sending out a duplicate entry notify. Ahem....

I pushed the wrong button in Bloggar while I was nosing around in the post archives. If you use Bloggar (which is a great little program by the way) take my advice and don't mess around with the old posts. Every time I have gone in there I have done something stupid. It's not Bloggar's fault. I take full responsibility for my goof ups.

The wind is blowing with what feels like a direct feed from the Arctic Circle here today. The air is crystal clear, which is not normal for this area. I was thinking about going to the nursery today to get some plants, but decided against it at the last minute. I don't think I will be thinking any inspired gardening thoughts while trying to stay upright and warm waltzing through the rows of plants.

I'll leave it for another day.

Quilty Hen went on a little rant over at InStitches about the democratic coronation.... I mean swearing in ceremonies and I'm afraid I couldn't agree with her more. Gavel waving and fists in the air for victory salutes does not bode well for the American people. I thought some very indelicate thoughts about people getting that excited about being handed such a responsibility.

Here's a message for you Nan, just in case you are a little confused about what just happened.

You did not win American Idol.

Don't mess around with us, or you will be replaced so fast it will make your giddy little head spin. I hear even your constituents are frothing at the mouth already because they don't see you doing what it is you said was your main concern.

You know, that little problem in Iraq that you think you have all the answers for? Well trot them out, let's have a look see. In the meantime, get a grip on yourself and act like a lady.

<-end rant

Even my evening walks have been curtailed because of that wind. Even the hood on my "fur"-lined coat doesn't keep my ears warm.

But, my! how the stars do twinkle!

    Shalom

RYC: Funny you should mention humility as a true leadership trait. Our founders saw political office as service to country to be conducted with humilty and dignity by those possessing honorable character.

Ms. Pelosi should take note.... her choices and her gloating speeches have given her away. No matter how many little ones she parades around with it is clear for all to see; her passion is not "for the children", but for POWER alone.

ew my friend I have never heard you so angry lol
    I am afraid
kidding but I got to say it
    here is something--
what is bush going to do next- go to china and establish a democracy there endless hilarity at stupidity

happy new year my friend and relax I dont want to waste my time on reading this stuff so I decided I would watch dvd instead it makes a wide sweep in a short time
so the latest is in the dvd "iraq for sale" that the military has hired out all these private companies to help with the work there is one intelligence company that takes people off the street and interrogates them and tortures them in all possible cruel ways and they dont have to be accountable to anyone except they can be asked to leave but then they are allowed to return
    yankee go home
yankee should have never gone in the first place

the really sad part of it is it would be nice to blame it all on bush but face it how many men does it take
it goes to measure how low humanity can go but the good news is the goodness of humanity cant be measured it it bottomless what daily sacrifices and profound love can accomplish

Pelosi is a dirty word around here. I of course was at work and missed all of the coronation hoohaa, but darned if I still didn't see snippets of all the little kids at the podium. They'll be trotting that image out for a long time to come. She's got little else to be sure.

Hi ... and thanks for the comment you left in my diary. I just now saw it ... we live on the east coast, in the PA mountains :)
