Knitting In Lock Down
Tue Jan 16 2007

Note to Self:

It's not a good idea to stay up until midnight watching shows about UFOs. Messes up the following day pretty badly. Avoid in future.

***

I am wandering from one thing to the next around here. Getting only the basics done. Laundry sloshes and plops in the utility room, but the other projects I have to work on require me to stay in a seated position and I just can muster it today. My brain is on about 50% power I think and I just can't seem to focus on one thing and 'git 'er done!

Though I have to tell you that UFO program was an eye opener last night. It was about reports from airline pilots..... recent reports, not something way back in the 50's mind you. Gave me the willies. They had voice recordings from the pilots and it made the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

I sure wish we would just find out that the government has some experimental aircraft they are playing with, and we can all go on about our business. Otherwise, those sightings are just plain spooky.

Made for bad dreams too. Only I didn't dream about UFOs, I dreamed I was working in a mental hospital. Really. Though I didn't have my uniform, and I couldn't get into my office because the railing I was trying to climb ended before I could reach the door which was about 15 feet off the floor. Hmmmm..... maybe I didn't WORK there..... if you know what I mean. The place was ginormous and built up against a looming cliff, kind of like an old abandoned quarry. Ew....
But I was knitting a loden green and deep cranberry patterned sweater in the dream. It was a nice sweater. I was very proud of it... In my dream....

I think I need a nap.

A nap is good. For starters. Then be more careful about TV watching. Never know what's going to reach out and grab your ankle.

    And how is Sunny doing?

I love watching stuff about UFO's, but it does kind of spook me, too. I just want the friendly ones to come here. You know. The ones who help us figure out this mess we're in. Those guys. Not the mean ones. They can stay where they are.

It must have been a good night for nightmares; mine a direct result of watching 24. I was fine until the bad guys set off the suitcase nuke. That gave me the willies..... sometimes the pretend world seems a little too real if you know what I mean.

Yeah, definately stay away from the late night UFO things. It's safer that way

You need to watch American Idol tonight so the comedy from it counters the UFO show from last night and you have humurous dreams as a result.

At least, that's my plan! These audition shows are the funniest of the season.

I know that UFOs exist. I've seen two of them, ten years apart. I also couldn't get all the way through the third Whitley Streiber, "Communion" book. It was just too darned scary!
