I am stuffing my first felted wool bag that ImNotLisa taught me how to make, the very very quirky kool aid dyed one with as many distractions as it will hold, for tomorrow I head out to the county court house for the jury duty cattle call.

I simply MUST have a pile of things to do when I go there to keep my mind off the torture chamber chairs and the close proximity of WAY too many people I don't know. Two knitting projects, a paperback novel, two stamped envelopes to stuff letters to friends into, a traveling diary, a sack lunch (peanut butter and jelly) and maybe one more thing I'm sure I'll think of before 6:30 in the morning. I have to be AT the court house at 8 AM. The only bright spot in this story is the light rail. At least I won't have to drive downtown, nor will I worry about parking.

I have been called to jury duty 5 times since moving to this town 8 years ago.

That seems excessive to me.

(Tell it to the judge there cupcake, tell it to the judge.)

Maybe I'll get passed over if I make it to the courtroom phase of selection if I wear a t-shirt that says:

I'm Blogging This

Think it'll work???

I have jury duty the end of April. I like the t-shirt idea, I may have to steal your idea!

I was called up for jury duty last winter. I got to the court just as a major power cut hit the city. We ended up sitting about in the foyer for hours.

I hope yours goes better :-)

I LOVE the t-shirt idea. Yes, five times in eight years is absolutely excessive.

I feel Jury duty is a DUTY we as Americans are blessed with. Each person has the right to be judged by fellow citizens if taken to court.
We have our military being in harms way and killed to promote freedom in country's around the world.

I do think 5 times in 8 years is quite a lot!! When I lived in New Jersey, I was called and got on a case! All I can say is, it was the most interesting 3 days of my life! I really enjoyed it and the case was interesting...you really see how everything all works! I never thought I would be picked to be on the jury coz I worked in a local law office at the time. I would just enjoy the time and it is much more fun if you get on a case! Take care...

That T-shirt is certainly worth a try.

I guess I'm off the roles now. I've been excused so many times because of my hearing and needing to read lips. Now I have hearing aids, I think I'll keep that a secret. I do not enjoy jury duty, and the waiting...waiting...waiting! Aaaarrrggghh!!!

You seem to be pretty well inoculated.

    Shalom

Love the t-shirt idea but I guess it didn't work. ;o) (I can't believe I missed this post but there was the notify email buried in amongst all the other stuff I missed this last week.) Hurry up and get back home so we (I) can see the photo of the bag. I've been thinking of doing a little kool-aid dying myself, but on sock yarn. I know. I'm addicted.
