Haze Of Days

I just have one question....

How did it get to be Friday already?

Where was I on Tuesday? I can't remember. Monday? Ancient history. Wednesday? Don't have a clue. It's the LOST WEEK, that's what it is.

Though I will say that I have really cleared the decks around here of niggling little projects and lists of minutia and am feeling so 'together' that I actually cast on the final piece of my knitted sweater. . . the back.

Don't look like much, do it?

Well, the sweater may not either when it's finished. It is not going to exactly be a 'fitted' garment, that is for sure. But it WILL be a garment. That's all I'm shooting for at this point. I need to get over my fear of sweaters.

I had to take a break from the sweater and knitted up a felted bag that is yet to be thrown into the washer. I needed to go back to something I knew how to knit. A little shot in the arm of confidence was just the thing.

And to round out the circle of completion, I bagged up my leftover yarn in my stash to donate to the knitting guild to be auctioned off in a silent auction next month. So I now have "room" physically and mentally for new yarn and new projects.

I just don't know what they are going to be yet. . . .

That's a problem for some OTHER week.

This week is kaput.

Le'see now. Monday. Yeah, that's the day after Sunday. and then Tuesday follows Monday. And thus it goes, until Saturday, after which the whole thing starts all over again. Regardless if we've been paying attention.

So you lose a week. There's another one coming up.

    Bless the day.

Oh happy day! A place to stash your stash, so to speak. Now on to bigger and better things.

Don't ask me where the week went. I lost it, too!
    Hugs, Tiggs

I as asking myself the same question about where my week went, too. I have no idea. Anyway, glad you're tackling a jumper, as we call them here. I can't wait to see the completed garment, but even some updates along the way would be good. Can fully understand the need for a bit of confidence, too. ;-)

I just can't wait to see the sweater finished. I'm jealous of that green, it's lovely.

I wonder if you'll have to do with Jo Jo what my SIL has to do with her dog. She closes the dog in a bedroom with a TV turned on loudly during the firework hours until it starts to quiet down.

But you knit complicated things like socks (which I'm totally in awe of, given that I could just about knit a plain square if I really concentrated!) - how can you be scared of sweaters/jumpers/jerseys/pullovers? (Isn't language wonderful? I love the fact that that particular garment has so many different names depending on where you come from - you call it a sweater, I'd call it a jumper, my mother would call it a jersey, and I've got a friend who calls them pullovers).

I'm enjoying re-reading the Harry Potter series so far - I forgot how long it's been since I actually read the books rather than just watched the movies, and I keep discovering bits I'd forgotten about. I've been surprised at how many elements in the later books are foreshadowed in the earlier ones - no wonder everyone keeps searching them for clues to what's in the last book :-)
