Run On Sentence For Fun and Profit
Thu Aug 16 2007

You know summer is an interesting time of year.

You are just are going about your business, a little slowly perhaps because you are trying to get over the absence of the short dark hairy one with the sweet white paws and you fiddle around in the kitchen making peach butter in the crock pot all day in between knitting sessions in which you are trying to finish up the 'frankensweater' as you have taken to calling it because you have a feeling the thing will be big enough to fit him when completed and while you are busy pinching, poking, and prodding peaches in your vain attempt at perfecting a 'ripeness test' that so far is turning out to be a dismal predictor of readiness to eat, but you pick several anyway because you are horrified when any of them fall off the tree and get smooshed [even though you have placed pillows and blankets under the tree to try and prevent this damage] thus adding to the growing collection of slightly unripe peaches resting in neat rows on top of newspaper on your kitchen work table...., [gasp for breath] . . . elsewhere in the garden, vegetables are . . . doing things. . . . behind your back.

Oh my! That's a lot of tomatoes. My plants have never produced so fully.

Well, actually, I suddenly considered, mayhaps, you have hundreds of tomato plants... that would be around the right number of tomatoes then... :P

Vegetables "do things" when you are not looking? Oh dear, perhaps I ought to go check on mine.

I sure hope they are doing what yours are doing. :)

Boy those 'maters look GOOD! Now I've got a hankering for an open face grilled tomato sandwich. I may have to go to the store to buy tomatoes.

I would have fresh tomatoes from my back yard, but there was a miscommunication in watering instructions which has resulted in skeletal tomato plants in planters. Maybe next year I'll get a drip system set up.

LOL -- I read 'peanut butter' on the first go round and wondered how you made it in the crock pot. ;o)

    Nice maters there, cupcake.

It really is the pits not getting your notifies. Now I know how you felt when you weren't getting any. At least YOUR'S is the only one I'm not getting, but still upsetting nontheless.

I swear that is the longest sentence I have read.
    *gasp*
    Hugs!
