[album 65561 GoofyHen2.JPG]"Well, if I was going to get bumped from my usual Monday spot, at least it was for something pretty."
One last picture from the trip.

This one is of a persistent critter that had been eating all of S's grapes this summer. He was finally caught the night before I had to leave.

[album 65561 Country Life 096.jpg]

I cut up a cucumber for him to eat while he waited to be picked up by a neighbor later in the day. He very ungraciously growled and lunged at me. I dropped the rest of the cucumber spears down from the top of the cage. I hope he appreciated my gesture. Though if he did, he sure didn't let on.

Lord save me from Cranky Racoons.

Anyhoo, it was a fitting end to my adventures I thought. Getting a good close gander at a wild creature seemed right somehow.

Proper.

Earthy.

Country.

Well you would be cranky also if trapped from your salad bowl. I trapped MANY on the farm and none were happy about it. Skunks were adaptive and were easy to realease without a smell if you covered the cage with a dark cover. The Coon bandit was never happy and you must take them not less than 7 miles away or they will beat you home.

He is cute, but only because he is not my problem. lol

I hope you told him he should consider giving up grapes before he looses a bit more than his freedom. People can be cranky too...... especially when it comes to their crops.
