The weather has changed for good I think. Showers, clouds. I like it. I think I will make a chicken shepherd's pie for dinner in honor of the fall weather.

I cleared out all the old tomato plants and the morning glories that were twined around them just before the rain came. But the back yard is not quite ready for winter. There are still things to clean up. I might wait until the peach leaves fall. . . Or not.

Haven't heard another word about Sandy's adoption. Maybe the car sick thing put the kabosh on it.

Dunno.

I signed up for a craft fair [again] as the first one I applied to was cancelled. So now we are scheduled to be at one on the 4th of November. I am more than a bit nervous about it. Sitting in a crowd of people for six hours straight freaks me out a little. Hub Man has promised to come with me. Otherwise, I don't think I could do it.

So I am working like crazy to add to my pile of saleable items.
I have become so enamored of the Hobbit Pouch concept, that I have put six designs on paper that I want to try. I bought some yarn yesterday to execute said plans. I'm a slow learner about color. Most of my things are made from sheer necessity and dumb luck. Or I just shamelessly steal other people's color schemes. It is one thing I do not have 'intuitively'. I have to work hard at it. I should take a class.

(You should do a lot of things.)

Even YOU cannot ruin my day today ( ) . It's cloudy, It's sprinking rain, the fireplace is on and I am home. Only good things can come of such a combination.

I don't know if you remember this or not, but I used to sell tie-dyes at a farmer's market every week. If you'd like, I can come and help you.

Oh, and I'm good at the color scheme thing, too. I will admit to a strong personal preference for monochromatic, but I can certainly put other color groupings together nicely.

Also, I have the ability to match colors that aren't with me at the time. One time I had this pair of purple silk pants/lounging pajamas that had a sort of "antique gold" stripe and I looked for a matching top for about six months. I finally found it (at Ross, of all places) and brought it home and it matched perfectly.

All sounds very comfy and relaxing. I have done bazaars before and it can be fun. You probably have a lot more color talent than you think, you just don't give yourself enough credit! I never find the time to do the sewing i need to do i have projects that are 2 years old waiting for me to get back to them! The big problem being i can't get anyone to do the stuff i have to do instead of sewing lol! I use to be able to squeeze in entire days to do it I don't know how now. I guess I'll just throw something in the crock pot and let the rest go for a day and see if i can wade thru after that!!! Good luck and I know you will do well.
