Today I was going to post a link to Frodo's ad on Petfinder.
Instead I will be showing you his adoptive family.
It happened so fast that frankly I am still in shock. The reality will sink in sometime when I'm least prepared for it.
Anyway, here is the nice lady who came to meet Frodo:

Please note if you will, the way Frodo is looking at her. He surprised the daylights out of me when he warmed up to her in less than five minutes. I was just gobsmacked. And I knew that this could work for him. And for them.
Here is her very nice husband:

They are retired and seem to be very patient and calm people. Just what Frodo needs. They DO have grandchildren with two golden retrievers nearby so Frodo will have doggie friends from time to time.
They lost their other Sheltie a month ago, and just could not bear to have no dog in the house. When it was time to go, Frodo, who is not at all fond of cars, jumped right into theirs, no problem. And he didn't look back when they drove off.
I think he knew he was in good hands.
And I guess I did my job.
I'm expecting the water works to start later in the day.... say around walkies time.
Fiona will miss him most I think. Last night she decided to jump on Sunny's head while she was fast asleep and Sunny came up growling. Fiona has been scared of her ever since. We are going to have to work on this. She didn't know how good she had it with Frodo. He was an exceptionally gentle dog with cats. I hope we can convince Sunny that Fiona is a good playmate. And convince Fiona that Sunny won't eat her in one bite.
Anyway, we expect to be a little subdued around here today.
On many levels.
Fare thee well our Frodo!
