I don't think
I look so good
in lavender.

Well we can't please everyone now can we?

I'm doing the usual Monday Blitz. Every week I tell myself I am not going to let things get so chaotic over the weekend, and every weekend things go all whacky and piles of THINGS develop here and there, dishes mount up, laundry too, and pretty soon, it's a real job to get it back into shape.

Add in an early morning jaunt to the lab for a routine fasting blood draw and short shopping trip that includes dog food and can't be put off a minute longer, and you have an interesting day on your hands.

But the sun is out, the sky is mostly blue and the dogs and cat are cute.

Though their little noses are a bit out of joint. I decided that the pair of dogs were getting WAY too attached to being indoors every single minute that I was in here. So they spent some personal development time in the back yard today. Eventually, they did lay about in the sun on a blanket I put out there, but only after a couple of hours of 'nose to the slider looking pitiful' time. I have given up washing that window for now. I don't think I like sliding glass doors. I would like to have an old fashioned door with the window part only on the top half. Do they still MAKE those?

I still have a bathroom to swipe at, and a load of laundry to finish up and a kitchen to clean. [I really made a royal mess cooking up my week's worth of vegetable lunches earlier on].

I will leave you with a picture of the miniature daffodils in the back yard. I took this a few days ago. They started blooming a full 6 weeks early this year. I wonder if that means something?

    Dear Red,

Haven't you heard? Red and purple are all the rage right now. All you need is a hat and you'll fit in perfectly.

My daffodils are up, but not quite ready to bloom. I think I'm looking at another week.
