This has been a Spring of oddball projects. The little things you think of in the dead of winter and jot down on a mental list. Sounds innocent enough, but then the good weather actually arrives and out comes the list and you discover it is about half a mile long.
I've been whittling my way through that list and every now and then there is a nice little bonus thing that gets done that is more interesting than reorganizing the underwear drawer.
Here is the new home of the fountain:

It is a much more pleasant spot for it too.
Next to the stone it is resting on, in a muddy hole with a root at the entrance, lives Mr. Toad. He scared the daylights out of me the other night when I was out with my flashlight hunting snails and slugs in my nightgown with my homemade household cleaner in a spray bottle. . . Trust me, you do not want to hear the gory details... Anyway, as I was flashing my light here and there, WHAM! there he was in all his bug eyed wartyness. Made me jump he did.
Along a less gruesome avenue, I have started a pair of socks with yarn so fine that I think I may lose my sanity before they are complete. A few times already I have almost decided this kind of knitting is not for me. I mean size 0 bamboo needles . . . ack! By the time I finish these we might have already decided who the next president of the United States will be, God help us. OR I will be in the looney bin. It could go either way.

Well, that's it from here today. And now a word from the Hen:
