The other day a package came in the mail.
It had something in it I have been waiting for for quite some time.
Packing insulation.
Yeah, I'm easily amused.
So I set to, looking for my components and made up a contraption that I have wanted to experiment with ever since I saw one....
Here is my hastily constructed version of....

Dah ta ta tah!

A solar cooker.
All you need are two boxes, some aluminum foil, an oven baking bag and of course the coveted insulation.
I made a crude lid with the top few inches of the inner box and glued the oven bag over it to make the 'oven'. The big lid reflects the sun back into the box. Notice my over engineered, high tech adjusting mechanism.
(It's a stick you moron.)
Wow, you are really sharp today! Very astute!
I am going to attempt to cook up some vegetable soup in my solar cooker today. I figured I might as well take advantage of the horrific heat and get something useful out of it. Though I am told these things work even if it is cooler. You just need the sun.
We shall see if the stories I read about these things are true.
Science in action!
I will report the results later.
Right now I have to cut up some vegetables.
Here's Sunny doing the final inspection....
