Of Packs and Packages
Fri Dec 19 2008

Bandit is making himself at home.

All the dogs are shuffling for some sort of pack order.

Bandit got a little too 'in your face' for both Sunny AND Ben this morning as was shown teeth in one case and growled at in the other. I plan to let them keep him in line in the canine etiquette department. Somebody needs to earn their keep around here....

Here are two of them in a quiet moment:

It's actually a nuanced turf war. Hub Man being the turf...

This morning our farm box arrived.

I eagerly opened it after the outside of the box had been thoroughly inspected by the dogs.

Right before this picture was taken, Bandit stole a leaf of lettuce and chomped it down. I obviously have a lot to learn about counter surfing dogs. . .

Anyway, isn't it lovely? Mushrooms this time. And Yukon Gold potatoes! Pink Lady apples..... Leeks! We are rich!

Excuse me while I go put all this goodness away. . . before Bandit absconds with anything else. I have PLANS for that winter squash....

    You might consider...well maybe not.
There is the hen to contend with, after all.

I'm envious of that farm box. VERY envious.

Who is alpha, Ben or Sunny? Bandit will learn his manners, be sure of that. However, the counter surfing is another matter. Human intervention is going to be difficult. Just be sure the brownies aren't within doggie nose range.

    Bless
