Sierra's New Adventure
Mon May 04 2009

On Saturday, Sierra found her new people.

They brought their little dog with them. We wanted to make sure they got along. She was a little Cocker Spaniel and Sheltie cross. Very laid back. And very cute.

The dogs got along fine as it turns out.

So they took her home with them.

Every time it happens, it seems sudden. Even though I knew they were coming to meet her a week ago.

I hope she is happy in her new place. I'm always sorry to know the dogs will have to make a whole new adjustment after settling in here. That's the one thing that just won't go away in this fostering situation we are in. If there was one thing I could wave a magic wand over, it would be that part. That starting over part for the dogs.

Ah well.   Happy tails Sierra!

In other news of the really frivolous kind, Hub Man and I got new phones a week or so ago. The old ones lasted for three years. His was held together [I'm talking literally here] with electrical tape.

Here's my new phone:

I really think it's pretty.  Too bad I hardly ever use it!  I've been sorely tempted to buy a Harry Potter ringtone for it, but I don't want to spring for a 2.99 ringtone when my phone hardly ever actually RINGS.

(You have SO many problems....)

Too bad it's not a red phone.
Then I might be interested.
But purple?
Purple is for show offs.
Buk!

Sigh...

Everybody's a critic.

Wishing you happy times in your new home, Sierra!

    Pretty phone!
You could always call yourself from the landline just to hear the Harry Potter ringtone!
    Just a thought.

I'm glad that Sierra found a new home and a new friend. I agree on the adjusting part; it must be hard for them, but foster care sure beats sitting in a cage. At least this way they get love and training to help them through the process.

    Neat phone....cool color. I like it. :)

I thought it was my duty as a friend to make your phone ring. Alas, it went directly to voicemail, and I did leave a message--after listening through instructions on how to perform other tasks.

    It is pretty.

    Bless

It is hard to part with your loving care but they look well matched. I just checked the May Apple plants and they will be in full bloom next few days but are so SHY .

Cool! My new phone is the same color! It's a different model and manufacturer, but same color.

Purple is not for show-offs. Purple is for the confident who march not to a different drummer, but to a flutophone. Convention is not for them. Instead they choose identity.
