In Which Everyone Gets Into the Act

I'm taking the day off.

The whole day off.

I'm only going to do what pleases me.

This will not include laundry, vacuuming, or cooking of any kind. . . Okay I may warm up some leftovers. But that's it.

This day will however involve looking at other people's art.

Okay. I'll try to stay focused.

Anyway I was thinking that if I get depressed at what is going on in the world right now, just imagine what God must feel like. Can't you just see Him running His hands through His hair and pressing His palms over His eyes some days?  I got to thinking about that and decided that when He has just about had all He can take of Jihadis and crooked politicians, He goes on YouTube. He runs across this and decides He didn't make a mistake after all. Because humans can be infinitely inventive and sweet too.

    An art day is a wonderful idea. We should all take an art day a few times each year. I loved the cat yodeling, too. (Particularly the protective socks!) I shall have to try it. Kitten is a whiner anyway, so she should be good at it.

    Funny you should mention art..... just yesterday I spent a few minutes watching an oil painter paint some very soft focus tulips. The artist was irritating, but the work was lovely. It almost made me want to pull out my brushes again.
