Yesterday evening, I was about to turn on the sprinklers to water the fast growing garden, when I noticed that the radishes were starting to shade out one of my rows of green beans. I made a Gardener's Executive decision and pulled the radishes.

All of 'em.

Radish anyone?

It didn't show it on the packet, but evidently I have a mix of varieties. I stirred up the soil where they had been growing and planted more seeds. I think the green beans will be well on their way to maturity before the radishes will be too big. That's my projection. I'm glad I don't have to worry about stockholders. Otherwise my golden parachute might turn into lead boots eh?

Too bad Megan doesn't live around here now. You'd have a ready market for all the radishes you would care to peddle.

    A gardener's gotta do what a gardener's gotta do.
    I'm sticking with that theory.

Lucky you! You get to have Radish Sandwiches! Color me jealous, mine aren't quite ready to pull. I'll have to make do with cucumber or tomato sandwiches until the radishes are ready.

Bring on the salad bowl. Those look good enough to eat. :)
