The weather is changable in the mountains...

Yesterday was cold breezy and drizzly, today is sunny and glorious.

We saw our window of opportunity took Sunny and Ben for a walk down a country lane and let them off leash. Not two minutes later, they spotted a gray squirrel...

"SQUIRREL!"

(Ben did NOT say Squirrel!. All he did was bark his head off. Stick to the facts...)

Well *I* thought I heard him say it. Anyway, off they went in a blur. Ben used to live on a place with acreage and he knows about squirrels. He did flying leaps and tried to climb the trees. The squirrel of course wasn't impressed.

But this episode seemed to flip a switch in Ben's psyche and he spent the rest of the walk behaving in ways he never does in the 'city'.

I told S. ... "Ben's gone native." And indeed I think he has. They love it up here. More elbow room in the big back yard. Horses to bark at, new smells and fresh air.

They are very very happy with the situation. Though they are both sprawled out on the floor now resting up from their adventure.

As they say, 'A good dog is a tired dog.'

S. and I have been doing some Zentangle projects together... here's mine from last night's efforts...

I think I'm about to get out the watercolors though and try another stand of poppies. I want to try a few more things with that general idea.

I am promised home made chili rellenos for dinner.

Life is good.

Judging from the Zentangle, it would seem you have gone as native as Ben. I'd say breathing mountain air has been good for everyone. :)

Oh yea I would love to watch Ben chase a Squirrel. Sam and GG had it in for diggers and caught them. We have a snow alert for tommorw late and it has been raining and flood watch for many rivers and streams.I have a procedure with Doc in the morning not really looking forward to, but ready for something that may work. Have fun and enjoy the mountains.

Nothing like mountain air to bring out the native in everything.
Love the Zentangle. I see gardens. :o)
